Florida: One more Time

Just got back from Florida. Bittersweet is a good word to describe my last training trip to St. Pete as a collegiate athlete. Each year Centre’s H20 team heads south to escape the bitter winds and freezing temps of Kentucky for a little RnR, beach tanning and long course (50m) training.

Little did we know the cold would follow us down. Now call me a sissy, but I think 40 degrees is DAMN cold when youre standing around in a speedo and nothing else. We had one day of temps above 65 degrees. The rest of the 7 day trip was mid 50’s low 60s for highs and 30’s and 40’s for lows.

Per NCAA rules, we had to compete while on our trip, so some of these photos are from our very casual swim meet held at a country club pool, which I would like to personally nominate as the worst pool ever designed for swimming. Anyway, enjoy the last photos from 2009 and the first photos from 2010.
